The Baltimore Elite Giants were a baseball team that played professionally in the Negro Leagues from 1920 until 1950.
One section of the Henderson Collection is made up of a few hundred 8 x 10 inch black and white acetate negatives, mostly produced in 1937-1939. The white lines that appear in this photograph is called channeling, which is a common characteristic of acetate film as the film ages or is exposed to a warm climate.
